#6 The 3 Laws of Building Muscle

Find all the other episodes and ask me a question here.

Episode 6 - After the nutrition myths, we're diving into the fundamentals of building muscle here. This means what you absolutely need to follow when you're trying to gain muscle mass, because if you don't, you'll inevitably face a lack of results and frustration sooner or later. More specifically, I cover:

  • The 3 ways to stimulate muscle growth and the best one among them
  • Why not all exercises are created equal and which ones are the best
  • How to structure these exercises into your workouts
  • The (minor) limiting role of genetics in muscle gain
  • The importance of progressive overload, illustrated by my mistakes when I was younger
  • Why you absolutely shouldn't neglect what happens outside of your workouts

Enjoy your listening! 😃

Hi Eric,
First off, thanks for all your content, including your podcasts, which I'm devouring super fast ;)
In your first podcasts, you mentioned putting several things in the podcast notes, but I can't find them (e.g., the exercise repetition chart based on goals, or others). Did you remove them? Or put them somewhere else?

Hello Eric,

I just discovered your podcast, and it's a real goldmine of information for me as I'm just starting out with weight training! Thanks a lot for everything you share!
In your podcast about the fundamentals of building muscle, you mention a chart and episode notes, but when I get to the page, I only see the podcast. Is that normal?

Thanks in advance!
